Day 2: The Research never ceases!!

Princeton,  CrackVerbal.com, Magoosh(Seriously?) and again something called the GMATPill!!!

You got to be kidding me. Here, I am all hopeless and staring at my screen at my workplace, and these sites never ever fail to inspire you with their great "sucess stories".
And the freebies, its a wonder how these sites are not more popular than Flipkart or the Amazon!

CrackVerbal proudly declares "Come Experience the Difference". Seriously? Does that mean they will help me to gather all the skills that qualifies you to even apply for the "Great" B-Schools..For instance, Leadership, Analytical skills, and Diversity??

I mean, whats up with these universities anyway? If I would have been a naturally born leader, why would I even want to go for Management Schools? Wont I be simply starting my own venture??

And should I be to blame if I was not born in an Native American family and have both my parents enlisted in the Army? Or that I have not taken up a degree in Anthropology!!!? If its risk taking that they are looking for, I wonder why the great " risk-taker" applicant will even take the conventional way of joining a Managemnent Schools to ultimately join a highly paid Corporate Jobs?? Wont the risk takers take the unconventional way of being an entrepreneur or join the Peace Corps.

Since I do not the CIA intelligence to change the mindsets of the academicians behind the University Admission Board, I can only hope that I could maybe mess around the Analytical Skills Category.
Maybe a score a perfect 800!!(Yup, thats possible, I checked. You simply have to be the greatest and equally coolest genius on earth ever.Thats all.)

Doubt of the Day:

So , you see the confusion right??

Day 1 :Continues...

Lets start. The question is ..From where.

Spreading across hundreds of websites in the great place called Internet, a lot of GMAT Gurus have proclaimed a hell lot of things...Some say..Pfft! Why are you even bothered about GMAT. The chance of a "normal" person getting into any "Top" B-School is almost minimal to none. And by Top B-school, I cant even begin to include the IVY-League Schools. Cuz, they are for the IVY-League Kids!!!!

We are satisfied with anything that screams Top Global rankings.  Does it really matter if I am talking about the 1st Ranker or the 50th ??

There I said it. Oh the great Optimistic Men in the World, Yes, I do look for the glass half empty. Coz it is truly empty.

If you all have the same set of credentials as me, you will tend to look at the world a tad bit differently, at not like those aiming for the big without realising where their feet truly lie.
I do, sadly.

A thousand of people have proudly suggested..you have to have something that they want. And by they, I mean the bespectacled squint-eyed academicians with degrees and doctorates from around the world whose one intimadating look at at you can send you running for Help!!!(or at least thats how I imagine them to be!).
Do I?

Not that I am embarassed about it, but I seriously dont posess any talent that even remotely sets me apart! Except maybe talking a whole lot of stuff that really doesnt change the world. No, sorry, Not Even That!

My little profile:

Class 10th and 12th : Average marks.( To put it more broadly, almost every body that has been "blessed enough to study in a CBSE school would have recieved the same set (or more!) marks.

Engineering(Mech)- Of course, like the countless Indians , couldnt ace the great IIT Entrance Examination...so was or forced to be satisfied with a lowly private engineering college..(don't you even dare ask me the name!)...again a mediocre performance.

And finally, after struggling for 6 months,to get a job which won't even pay you the half of what you invested for your education....I got a Job in a " renowned " IT company ..

Sadly,my profile has less of complicated programming ( PYTHON, SAP)..and more of a meagre PPT. (Microsoft PowerPoint ) creation..a profile which supposedly doesn't do any justice to my already so-called degree.

Thats it. Full Stop. Period.

And then comes the Big Question..What is it that proves that I am different from the rest of the thousand( even lakhs )of applicants each year..
And if I am not that different...where does that leave me..
Bleak way to start the day!!!

Day 1: Well, at least I think so.

This is my umpteenth attempt at creating a Blog.
I will call this The Simpleton's Diary.
Please note the few points before you even remotely contemplate the tideous process of reading this blog:-

1. I hereby declare,  have never attempted or till date didnt even think of attempting( at least seriously!!) the GMAT.

2. I, do however have researched a lot about it..almost everyday of my life.(I owe the time consumed to my great manager who DO NOT assign me with any Challenging or even Remotely Entertaining Work!)

3. Serious Contenders of IVY-League Schools or so.PLEASE REFRAIN FROM GETTING ANY SORT OF IDEAS From the BLOG.(However, you are more than welcome to post any valuable comments for the Lazy Joes around the world.)

4. I, declare myself an Indian by ethnicity. And unfortunately, other than travelling the 4 corners of my country, havent been able to gather my reins to the other great nations in and around the world. The reason why I thought this point will be relevant is my obvious lack of knowledge about the other "aspirants" around the world.

5.I fight the internet addiction each day. Also, I have nobody(And I do strongly mean NOBODY) from my family or even my hometown have even attempted the exam. Honestly, I wont be surprised if nobody truly have heard about it. A+B means all the great "Ideas" I will be throwing at you will be the result of scrutinisng the World Wide Web.

So here's a good question. Why Am i Writing this anyway??
I could have easily gone for a Fashion Blog( Nice one, kiddo) or a geekier New York Bestsellers Review Blog!
Lest someone should accuse me of misleading the great academicians , I should mention that am the next door girl who does nothing more(or less!) tahn watch Castle or Mentalist Reruns everyday in my age-old laptop.  The "productive" time of the day, I would like to pretend that I am actually working in my tiny cubicle.(Yes, I am an IT professional like the rest of the million Indians in the country.). And No, I dont have white hairs sprouting from my forehead..(Am 23). And No, I AM NOT GIVING CAT. Period.

So here it is.

I am a part of the huge crowd of underworked(Yes, thats a word!) IT "Professional" having just recieved my "irreplaceable" Graduation degree in Engineering. Oh, one more thing, Engineering in Mechanical and a female. Sue me.

And am free enough to do some researching. So let me do it.

Thanks and Regards,
(Did I seriously write that??!)
